Our mission is to make fencing fun, accessible and affordable.

To keep students' costs at the absolute minimum, Maverick SportFencing teaches exclusively with non-electric gear and weapons. This allows everyone to avoid the cost of the modern electrical equipment that so many schools force upon their members.

The Talon System

The Talon System is the heart of Maverick SportFencing. Melding over 700 years of sword techniques, Master O'Mara has redesigned and evolved the learning processes and methods to create a easy and fun system for fencing. Redefining primary parries and thrusts, adding cuts and incorporating diverse techniques, Talon puts a fresh and exciting face on the best kept secret in sports.

Fantôme

Fantôme is the style that is all about you. For advanced Talon Students, Fantôme finds what you do best and makes it better! Truly a style "with no style", the Fantôme System enhances your personal strengths and abilities and pushes them to an entire new level.

Stage Combat

Maverick SportFencing offers over twenty styles of stage combat and choreography. From school plays to festival shows to LARP events, we can provide you with the training needed to safely perform onstage with amazing results. Contact us for availability and pricing.

Private Lessons
